Weekly email digest
Plans Pro, Agency
The weekly digest is an email that arrives on Monday morning and tells you how each of your active sites did in Google search last week. It is part of Pro and Agency; Free sees a note in Settings.
What is in it
- For every active site: clicks, impressions, CTR and average position for the last 7 days, with the change against the 7 days before and, when we have the data, against the same week last year.
- The top 3 growing and top 3 decaying queries and the same for pages. These follow the Growing and Decaying tabs: a row needs enough impressions and a big enough click change to count, so quiet weeks can show fewer than three.
- How many queries newly entered striking distance (average position 4 to 20, over the last 28 days) since last week, and how many are there in total. See Opportunities.
- Any Google core or spam update that started during the week.
- Notes you or your team dated in the week (see Annotations).
- Sites that are read-locked after a downgrade are left out, and so are sites with no data in the last two weeks.
Every number is a link. It opens the dashboard on the view that shows it, with the same range (7d) and comparison, so you can check the figure and keep digging.
The numbers end at the last day Search Console has data for, which is about three days late, so the newest days may still change slightly.
When it arrives: Monday at 8:00 in your time zone. KeptSEO learns your time zone from your browser when you open Settings. Until it does, the digest arrives Monday at 13:00 UTC. If a send is delayed, it still goes out later that Monday (up to 8 hours after the planned time), and never for a past week.
Who gets it: owners and admins get it by default once the workspace is on Pro or Agency. Members do not, but can turn it on for themselves. Client viewers never get it. Each person controls only their own digest.
How to use it
- Open Settings, then Email.
- Turn Weekly digest on or off.
- Show preview displays this week’s digest on the page. Send me a preview now emails it to you (owners and admins, one every 10 minutes).
- In any digest, Unsubscribe from this digest opens a page with one button. Press it and you are off the list for that workspace. You can turn the digest back on in Settings.
Your email app may also show its own Unsubscribe button next to the sender; it does the same thing in one tap.
Plans: Pro and Agency. Free sees a Pro note in Settings and gets no emails.
