Site tabs: Overview, Queries, Pages, Countries & devices, Opportunities, Google updates

Plans Free, Pro

A site has six tabs under its name: Overview, Queries, Pages, Countries & devices, Opportunities and Google updates. Switching tabs keeps your date range, your comparison and any filter you set (the Google updates tab has its own before-and-after windows instead of the range). Opportunities and Google updates are part of Pro; see Opportunities and Google updates. A site has five tabs under its name: Overview, Queries, Pages, Groups and Countries & devices. Groups (Pro) compares sets of pages and a Group menu on the other tabs narrows them to one group: see Content groups. Overview ends with an Annotations panel (Annotations). Switching tabs keeps your date range, your comparison and any filter you set. A site has five tabs under its name: Overview, Queries, Pages, Countries & devices and Tests. Switching tabs keeps your date range, your comparison and any filter you set. (Tests has its own before and after windows, so it hides those controls.)

Overview. The number cards, the performance chart and a short table. Use the Queries / Pages switch above the table to choose what it lists. It shows 25 rows at a time; Show more loads the next 25.

Queries and Pages. The number cards and then the whole table (up to 5,000 rows). Type in Search to narrow the list. It matches any part of the text and ignores capital letters. Click a column title to sort; click again to reverse. Change tags show how each row moved against the comparison, and Click change sorts by who gained or lost the most clicks. The table scrolls inside its card and keeps its header in view. Show 200 more or Show all loads more rows. See Queries and pages table.

Filter by clicking. Click a query or a page row to filter the whole site to it. A chip appears above the numbers (Query or Page), and every number, the chart and the tables follow.

  • Click a query, then switch to Pages: you see the pages that got that query.
  • Add a page filter as well to see that query on that page.
  • A query on pages, or both filters together, only covers the last 90 days.
  • Remove a chip with its x, or use Clear all.

Countries & devices. Bar lists for devices and for your top ten countries (clicks, share of the total and the change), then a table of every country with the usual columns and a search box. These figures always cover the whole site. Queries and pages cannot filter them, and the tab tells you so when a filter is on. Country rows are read-only.

Totals and filters. When a query or page filter is on, the number cards only count clicks that Google ties to a query or page. See Anonymized traffic.

Plans. The first four tabs are the same on Free and Pro. Opportunities and Google updates are Pro; on Free they show a notice with a link to the plans. Tests. Measure whether a change to some pages moved their traffic. See SEO tests. Pro and Agency; Free sees a short explanation.
