Chart gestures (zoom)
Plans Free, Pro
You can zoom the performance chart by dragging across it.
How to use it
- Press the mouse button (or your finger) on the chart where you want the range to start.
- Drag sideways. A shaded area follows you, and a small label above the chart shows the dates and how many days it covers, for example “Sep 3 – Sep 16 · 14 days”.
- Let go. The chart, the number cards and the table below all switch to those dates. None of the range buttons is highlighted while you are zoomed.
- Zoom again to go deeper.
Go back
- Press the Reset zoom button above the chart. It appears after your first zoom and takes you back to the range you had picked with the range buttons.
- Or double-click the chart.
- Or pick a range button. That also clears the zoom.
Changed your mind mid-drag? Press Escape before you let go and nothing changes.
Small selections are ignored. A zoom needs at least 7 days on a daily chart, or at least 2 weeks or 2 months on a weekly or monthly chart. If you drag less than that, the label says “Select at least 7 days” and letting go does nothing.
Hover for details. Without dragging, move over the chart: a line follows the pointer and a card shows each metric for that day, the matching day in the comparison, and the change. With two comparison windows marked, the card also says which window the day is in. With the keyboard, Tab to the chart and use the arrow keys, Home and End.
Shift hint. When you hold Shift over the chart, the pointer turns into a cross and a small note follows it (“Shift-drag: comparison window”). Shift plus drag marks a comparison window instead of zooming. See Comparison windows.
On a touch screen touching the chart shows the details card for that day. Drag sideways to zoom. Dragging up and down still scrolls the page. To mark comparison windows by touch, switch on Mark windows above the chart.
Share it. The zoomed dates are part of the page address, so a copied link or a reload shows the same zoom.
Plans. The same on Free and Pro. On Free the zoom cannot reach back past 16 months.
